Sportives, Festivals

Let’s Go Velo started ‘brewery sportives‘ in 2016, sociable events which feature (usually as the start/finish point) breweries or similar. Includes Wye Valley Brewery, 2023: 2nd September.

Mad Hare has a Malvern sportive. 2023: 9th July

Mountain Bike Festival, Eastnor Deer Park. This is now known as the GT Bicycles Malverns Classic, held in August.

Sponsored Rides

Regularly held sponsored rides in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Updates needed – please do get in touch with info on these and other such activities!

  • Blossom Trail Bikeaway, Vale of Evesham. Choice of 11, 16, 27 or 50 mile routes, in aid of St John Ambulance.
  • St Richard’s Hospice Paddle, Plod, Pedal – mixed locomotion course, starting at Pershore. 17 July 2022.
  • Linc 3 Counties Ride (Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund). 2022: 17 July, with a Jubilee theme, 32km or 64km routes.
  • Ride and Stride Your own or locally organised cycle route around churches, second Saturday of September. National event which began in Suffolk in 1982. Various local rides. 2023: 9th September.
