Organised opportunities to go for a spin in the area, for a day or shorter.

Arriving at Ledbury Cider & PerryLocal cycling groups

  • We give details below of bike rides run by the Ledbury section of the CTC (Cyclists' Touring Club). More about enjoyment than speed.
  • We also list below CycleMalvern rides and any other interesting local excursions.
  • Link to Worcester CTC runs list. There are likely to be a number of Saturday rides starting from Malvern Link station or Wyche Cutting, but not generally suitable for the casual cyclist.
  • VC Sevale is a cycling club based in Malvern. Road racing, mountain biking, cyclo cross etc.
  • A bunch of people do mountain bike rides on Tuesday evenings (of about 2 hours), starting from North Malvern clock tower. Anyone welcome as long as they feel confident in their bike - brakes work and have lights. Contact Steve email: steve@melsteve.fsnet.co.uk
  • Malvern Red Riders is a bunch of youngsters who have got together to do (sporty?) rides, Jan 08.
  • Cyclesport Midlands locally based mountain biking club, but as website is stuck in 2002 we wonder whether the group still exists.
  • Climb on Bikes Cycling Club - based round Hereford bike shop. Hereford Wheelers for touring, training and race rides.
  • See MalvernTrail's general Events page for the Mountain Mayhem 24-hour Mountain Bike Race at Eastnor.
  • Regular sponsored cycle rides in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are being collated on the CycleMalvern blog.

Ross-on-Wye Cycling Club looks a little sporty for us, but we are won over by the hedgehog logo on the web site. They also organise a local Daffodil weekend.

Cheltenham CTC isn't too far away: runs list.

The Origami Phoenix Rides have a focus on attracting cyclists on folding bikes, but its not exclusive. Rides are in the 10 to 25 mile range, one Saturday a month, somewhere in the Midlands but often from Meriden.
