The Natural World – Making A Wildlife Documentary

Jack Versiani Holt has encountered wildlife in many ways, and in many locations around the world, but it’s his passion for photography that is driving his creativity to film and illustrate compelling stories, which highlight the inspiration of, and vital challenges that face, the natural world.

After graduating in Marine and Freshwater Biology at the University of Glasgow, Jack went on to complete a Masters Degree in Wildlife Documentary Production at the University of Salford.

Using his film ‘Skill of Survival’ as a case study, Jack will provide insight into how this production was made, from ideas to concept, from planning to filming, and most importantly, how the story adapted, grew and produced a documentary that entertains as well as informs.
