Malvern Festival of Ideas

Exploring the theme of ‘Conflict’ from different perspectives including, social, political, personal and military. The festival carries on from the Malvern Science adn Faith weekends.

There is an Art and Science Activity day for children, which includes viking longship construction, science workshops and demonstrations.

Some of the events:

Friday 2nd, 7.30pm: Clare Short on ‘Could Britain be a peacemaker?’

Saturday 3rd, 7.30pm: Prof Paul Rogers on ‘A century on the edge: from cold war to hot world’.

Full day conference Saturday 3rd on ‘Forgotten People/Military Perspectives’.

Sunday 4th, 10am ‘The corruption of capitalism: why rentiers thrive and work does not pay’ (Prof Guy Standing), followed at 11.30 by ‘Are we now a divided society?’ (Prof Ted Cantle). Both at Malvern Cube.
