Also see Butterfly Conservation web site. The Malvern Hills AONB and Butterfly Conservation have published, spring 2007, a guide book to Butterflies and Day Flying Moths of the Malvern Hills - limited availability so join the recording group to get yours, or download from AONB web site (pdf, 1.55MB). Target species to record for 2007 are Drab Looper (a moth - pdf factsheet) and Dingy Skipper.
UK Butterflies web site appears very informative. Wild about Britain has a picture gallery plus a forum which can help with identification queries. For moth identification, the UK Moths web site is comprehensive, but do note that there are hundreds of them. Misidentifications on these pages are my own.
